It is a rather bizarre story given that Ramsey has barely featured this season having spent six weeks on the treatment table with a hamstring injury that he picked up on the opening day of the campaign during Arsenal’s 4-2 defeat to Liverpool at the Emirates.
The 25-year-old’s injury troubles are nothing new as he has been struck down by various hamstring and thigh issues six times in the past three seasons.
With regards to recent form, Ramsey was a key component in Chris Coleman’s Wales side during the European Championships in the summer, helping his nation to a shock semi-final place, but the likelihood of the midfielder linking up with his international teammate Gareth Bale at the Bernabeu is slim.
It appears that some fans on Twitter also believe that the transfer is a non-starter, while others are keen for Madrid to take Ramsey off their hands…
