da betcris: According to an exclusive story from FC Inter News, Wolves are showing an interest in forward Andrea Pinamonti.
What’s the word?
Pinamonti spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Frosinone from his parent club Inter, finding the net five times over the course of the season.
The 20-year-old is an exciting young attacker who’s now catching the eye at international level.
Having been picked for Italy’s squad for the U20 World Cup, he’s been watched by a host of teams according to FC Inter News.
They claim that Wolves have sent scouts to watch him but Ajax and Real Valladolid have also registered an interest. The report further suggests that Brescia could be in the market for the striker too.
Setback for Ennis
Should Wolves complete a deal for the young attacker then it would be incredibly detrimental for Niall Ennis.
The signing of Pinamonti, who barely has any experience, would be questionable as it is, but setting back one of their own promising youngsters in doing so would be poor judgement from the club.
Wolves have spent well in the two years Nuno Santo has been at the club but this would be one of the few times the Midlands club deserve criticism for their recruitment.
Ennis has worked considerably hard to come back from injuries in his career and after a sterling season which included nine goals at youth level, he deserves an opportunity to prove his worth to the senior team.
Nuno’s side lack depth but by promoting Ennis they can look to save money and give their academy a chance to thrive further after Morgan Gibbs-White’s emergence.
Raul Jimenez is turning it on for Wolves and Mexico right now! He definitely deserves the song in the video below…
Rob Edwards’ U23 side won the Premier League 2 Division 2 title this term so it would be foolish for the club to focus on youngsters who aren’t currently around the squad already.
Pinamonti may be an exciting talent, but Ennis is the man who should be entrusted as back up in 2019/20.
