Rashford netted 30 goals last season but this term he has scored just four and to make matters worse, he is under fire after two nights out in a row in Belfast last week. The Times claim some of Rashford's team-mates at the Red Devils are disappointed with his actions, where he called in sick after flying back to Manchester at 7am on Friday. The report adds he has been fined two weeks' wages – approximately £650,000.

On Monday, United, who beat Newport 4-2 at Rodney Parade, said in a statement about Rashford's situation: “Marcus has taken responsibility for his actions. This has been dealt with as an internal disciplinary matter, which is now closed."
WHAT NEXT?
It remains to be seen if Rashford will feature for United, who sit eighth in the table, in their Premier League clash away to 11th-placed Wolves at Molineux on Thursday. Three days later they host West Ham in the English top-flight.
